South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG) of North South University, is a research and educational institute with a regional focus in South Asia. The Institute started its journey in 2008 as a Public Policy and Governance Program (PPG) at North South University to impart knowledge in the broader field of policy, governance, and public administration. In 2018, after a decade, the PPG program upgraded to a full-fledged Institute to facilitate the academic program, regional research on various issues related to policy regimes, governance challenges, and discourses in the context of South Asia. The Institute initiates research, publications, policy briefs, certificate courses, seminars, webinars, international conferences, training, and research programs intending to strengthen and broaden the intellectual capacity of South Asia and regional countries at the policy stage. SIPG is now offering a Master in Public Policy and Governance (MPPG), a 2-year program, and an Executive Masters in Policy and Governance (EMPG), a 1-year program. The masters' programs offered aim to enhance the capacity for young professionals on public policy and governance.

SIPG had the honor of welcoming Her Excellency Marie Masdupuy, French Ambassador to Bangladesh, along with Mr. Guillaume Audren de Kerdrel, Deputy Head of Mission, Ambassade de Farnce au Bangladesh- French Embassy in Dhaka. The delegation met mainly with Dr. Akram Hossain, Assistant Professor of Political Science and Sociology & SIPG at NSU to discuss on the recently held 'National Survey on Citizens Expectations from the Interim Government of Bangladesh 2024.' They also met with Dr. Rizwan Khair, Chair, PSS, & Member, Administrative Reform Commission, GoB, Dr. Abdul Wohab, Coordinator of the Center for Peace Studies (CPS) & Dr. Hasan Muhammad Baniamin, Assistant Professor, SIPG & PSS, NSU. They discussed on academic collaborations, research, student and faculty exchanges.
