At the recent ABSL Forum in Porto: Europe at the crossroads, we had the honor of hosting Luis Figo, a true legend both on the football pitch and beyond. His insights resonated with everyone in attendance, as he brought a unique perspective on success that bridges the world of sports and business. Luis shared powerful words that capture his philosophy on achieving goals: "Remember to work hard. You need talent, but passion is essential. Without passion, life simply has no meaning. I always aspired to be number one, even if I didn’t always possess the talent to achieve it." Luis Figo’s journey reminds us that success is multifaceted, demanding dedication, adaptability, and an unyielding commitment to being our best. A powerful takeaway for leaders and aspiring professionals alike. Thank you Luis for this lesson!

Gathering female professionals from the business services sector, participants engaged in meaningful discussions focused on women-to-women collaboration, personal and professional growth, and building a future where gender bias is a thing of the past. The energy was incredible as we explored key topics: 🔹Forming alliances to amplify female growth and collective impact 🔹Raising children in an inclusive environment that champions diversity and equality 🔹Embracing confidence built on authentic leadership and seizing opportunities as they arise These conversations reaffirmed the incredible potential of women supporting women across borders. Such a great discussion at ABSL Forum with: ➡️ José Manuel Barroso, former President of the European Commission & former PM of Portugal ➡️ Nuno Manuel da Silva Amado, Banco Comercial Portuguesês & Millennium ➡️ Anna Wojt, PhD, PwC Australia ➡️ Saumya Bhavsar, Meta ➡️ moderated by Janusz Dziurzynski, Founding Leader of ABSL & President of ABSL Poland Perfect timing to discuss the aftermath of the US elections and how geopolitical disruptions impact how we do business. Will Day 2 of ABSL Forum: "Europe at the crossroads" be equally exciting? For sure! Stay tuned for more inspiring guests and insights!
I was honored and thrilled to have moderated the Clash of the Titans panel at this year’s ABSL Forum! Joining me on stage was José Manuel Barroso, former President of the European Commission and former PM of Portugal, as well as Nuno Manuel da Silva Amado from @Banco Comercial Português & Millennium, and @Anna Wojt, PhD, from @PwC Australia and Saumya Bhavsar, @Meta. Together, we dove deep into one of the most pressing topics of our time: how the changing world order is reshaping the business landscape as we know it. Our conversation touched on the continuous impact of global shifts on our economies, communities, and work, with key questions about the lasting effects of these geopolitical changes and the new strategies leaders need to consider. One of the standout moments was our analysis of how the U.S. elections could redefine the global stage, looking at both pre- and post-Trump political dynamics. On a lighter note, we all jokingly agreed that Europe can sometimes be seen as a bit delusional and detached, which leaves us with only one option: to take decisive action now. The ABSL Forum continues to serve as a vital platform for cross-border knowledge exchange, and I am proud to have been part of such a vibrant community of forward-thinkers and change-makers. I can't wait for day 2!

The ABSL Forum launch is the perfect moment to discuss what’s ahead and how Europe can stay competitive. Recent global political shifts create a great backdrop for conversations around investment, attracting capital, adapting operational models, and staying agile. It’s also a chance to look at how the business services sector, which includes 40 million professionals in Europe - and 200 million worldwide - in areas like accounting, IT, logistics, procurement, administration, and HR, can position itself effectively in this landscape. And ABSL - the leading international non-for-profit business services & technology association based in Europe - is a perfect platform for the sector to become even stronger. I’m excited to hear from 250 top executives joining the ABSL Forum panels over the two days in Porto. With 50 excellent speakers such as Jose Manuel Barroso, former President of the European Commision and former Prime Minister of Portugal, Enrico Letta, former Prime Minister of Italy, and Luis Figo world-class footballer, offering fresh perspectives, it promises to be an insightful discussion. The sector is all about Talent, Technology & Transformation, so let's discuss it in Porto!
