At the HEPL graduation ceremony 👩🎓, Dominique Selbiani presented the Diversity Award on behalf of ArcelorMittal Belgium to Tiphaine Van Vyckt, a brilliant graduate in industrial engineering sciences 🔩 The ArcelorMittal Diversity Award was given to her in recognition of her academic achievements, her human qualities and her commitment to her community and associations. In receiving this award, she embodies the values of ArcelorMittal, which promotes a collaborative and inclusive approach to building a better future 🌎 Congratulations to Tiphaine! Thank you to the HEPL - Haute Ecole de la Province de Liège for this new collaboration.

After seven years of intensive construction, the new sea lock in Terneuzen is completed, and we are thrilled that the first ship – the Bregaglia – has made its way to our site at ArcelorMittal Ghent via this impressive new gateway. This lock, a crucial part of North Sea Port, opens the doors for wider and larger ships, which will significantly boost our logistical capabilities. 🔑 Key benefits: ➡ Larger ships can now enter the port, making the supply of raw materials more efficient. ➡Stable access thanks to the increased capacity of the new lock, reducing downtime and delays. ➡Future-proof infrastructure that supports our efforts to further green our production processes and prepare for green steel production. This project is a gamechanger for Ghent's industrial competitiveness. But we are looking further: new investments in the canal are needed to fully unlock the potential of this lock. 🌍 Together, we are building a future where industry and sustainability go hand in hand.

👷♂️✨ This Wednesday, we welcomed 25 enthusiastic master’s students in architecture from Universiteit Gent for a unique facade renovation project as part of 'Studio A'. 🎓🏢 🔧 Supported by ArcelorMittal Gent, these future engineer-architects are working on the renovation of an existing building, gaining hands-on experience with real-life cases and practical insights. Today’s agenda included a site visit for measurement and building inspection. 💡 They also attended an insightful Steligence lecture, highlighting the benefits of steel as a forward-thinking and sustainable building material. Yesterday, we welcomed 3000 visitors at our site in Ghent and Liège during the Voka Open Bedrijvendag. 💪 From 8 AM to 8 PM, eager visitors were excited to explore our company and discover how we produce sustainable steel and the technology involved. 120 colleagues, both in front and behind the scenes, ensured that it was a unique experience for our visitors. Thank you, visitors and colleagues, for your enthusiasm in making this another successful edition! 👏
