We walk the talk: our offices are located in a #BREEAM certified building! 📜 We have now officially handed over the BREEAM In-Use certificate for the Victoria Tower to our client Baltisse Real Estate. The iconic 1970’s IBM tower was fully renovated and converted into a vibrant #mixed-use building. Covering over 24.000 m², it is one of the largest examples of mixed-use in Brussels. It now houses the offices of SuReal and WPP as well as The Hoxton hotel and its affiliate restaurant, café, rooftop bar and coworking space Working From_ . Next to the BREEAM Official certification, SuReal also performed a due diligence of the #energy concept and provided guidance regarding #circular economy. The main structure was preserved and a #geothermal system provides passive cooling. New project: Febiac ! Baltisse Real Estate is excited to announce that we have recenty concluded a building right agreement with FEBIAC - also known as Huis van de Automobiel – regarding its property in Woluwedal 46, St-Lambrechts-Woluwe. Baltisse will redevelop the current office building of approximately 5,300 sqm into a vibrant residential project. Together with the expertise of B2Ai architects, we aim to submit the building permit application in the beginning of 2025. One of the first BREEAM Outstanding In-Use Certifications in Logistics! Blue Line Storage, a logistics investment from Baltisse, has achieved a BREEAM OUTSTANDING In-Use certification. This makes Blue Line Storage only the second logistical building in Belgium to currently hold this prestigious certification. Geert Dejaeger, CEO of Dematra, highlighted the unexpected competitive advantage this certification brings: “This certification gives us an edge when talking with multinational food corporations. Our logistical services are now better aligned with their sustainability strategy.” The certification is primarily due to the innovative design and high level of automation: “We reduced the footprint for storing and handling 80,000 pallets by a factor of 6 because Blue Line Storage is a 46-meter-high building with 15 levels inside. Thanks to automated shuttles, we can move up to 12,000 pallets in a day”, adds Geert. In today's world, where sustainability is paramount, BREEAM has become the world’s leading method for assessing the sustainability of projects, including those in the logistics industry.
