Ocean Network Express (Europe) Ltd. provides a wide service coverage with the 7th largest fleet in the world. In April 2017, 'K' Line, MOL and NYK, started services as "THE Alliance" with other major shipping companies. Ocean Network Express will continue to provide services as an alliance member. In addition to this alliance, they are continuing to further strengthen their services to Asia, Latin America and Africa regions and will further expand the number of ports in the future to Asia, North America, Europe, the Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East, also planning to expand their direct service to perform a wide service coverage. The fleet size is 1,505,181 TEU which is the 7th largest in the world (as of June 2022).   • His Majesty King Philippe of the Belgians and the BJA – Highlighting Japanese investors in Belgium - 7 May 2024 – Royal Palace Brussels and R&D Centre TME Zaventem His Majesty King Philippe of the Belgians bestowed upon the Belgium-Japan Association & Chamber of Commerce (BJA) the honor to take part in the celebrations of our 60th anniversary. To commemorate this, the BJA had the great honor and pleasure to welcome His Majesty King Philippe on 7 May 2024, highlighting the importance of the Japanese investments in Belgium and bringing our members closer. His Majesty King Philippe commenced the day with a visit to the R&D Centre of Toyota Motor Europe (TME) during the morning. This visit provided an opportunity for His Majesty to gain insights into the innovative endeavors of Japanese companies operating in Belgium. Our sincere gratitude goes out to Mr Nakata, CEO & President of TME, and all at Toyota. The visit was followed by a Round Table discussion held at the Royal Palace of Brussels in the afternoon. A selected group of major Japanese investors in Belgium exchanged thoughts and visions on the Japanese investment climate in Belgium with His Majesty King Philippe. This Round Table facilitated a valuable and constructive exchange and brought insights into the economic partnership between Belgium and Japan, underscoring the significance of Japanese investments in Belgium. This prestigious event provided a platform to further enhance economic cooperation, partnership and friendship between the two nations. The BJA would like to thank the investors for their time and their valued contribution to the dialogue. We would also like to thank His Excellency Mr Masahiro Mikami, the Japanese Ambassador to Belgium, who honored us with his presence at both occasions, further symbolizing the strong diplomatic relations between the two nations. The BJA expresses its heartfelt gratitude for the support granted by His Majesty King Philippe of the Belgians on May 7 - a landmark event for the organization and its members. Our two countries share a long common heritage, and the collaboration takes an ever-increasing range of forms and contents. The close bonds between the Japanese Imperial family and the Belgian Royal family further strengthen the relationship between Belgium and Japan. From its founding onwards and throughout the many decades, the BJA had the privilege to enjoy warm ties with the Royal Palace of Belgium. On May 7, 2024 we will have the great honour and pleasure to welcome His Majesty King Philippe, highlighting the importance of the Japanese investments in Belgium.  In the morning, we will welcome His Majesty the King to visit the R&D Centre, Toyota Motor Europe, with several meetings planned on-site, together with the BJA Board of Directors. This will be followed in the afternoon at the Royal Palace of Brussels with a Round Table where a selected group of major Japanese investors will exchange thoughts and visions on the Japanese investment climate in Belgium.  We are also honoured to welcome HE Mr Masahiro Mikami, Japanese Ambassador to Belgium, on this special occasion.
