Inspiring the next generation of tech talent at Citymesh! 💡 Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 25 third-year Electronics-ICT students from KU Leuven to Citymesh! The visit kicked off with an introduction to Citymesh’s activities and innovative projects, providing students with insights into our role in the telecom and technology landscape. This was followed by an HR session covering the application process, internships, and career opportunities within our company. Next, we explored the technical side of connectivity, diving into 4G and 5G technologies and demonstrating the Bolster, highlighting its capabilities in real-time network solutions. To wrap up, the students discovered the exciting world of Safety Drones, learning about their applications and even witnessing a live drone flight in action. It was a fantastic day filled with technology, innovation, and inspiration. We were impressed by the students’ enthusiasm and insightful questions. LA ZONE DE SECOURS: VESDRE - HOEGNE - PLATEAU now uses an advanced drone with thermal imaging, GPS pinpointing, and a speaker to assist victims. Two remotely piloted drones by Citymesh will provide real-time visuals before firefighters arrive, improving assessment and resource allocation. Hulpverleningszone Fluvia deploys Drone-in-a-Box systems in Kuurne, Menen, and Waregem. These autonomous drones launch in 90 seconds, reach incidents in under five minutes, and have already been deployed 34 times to provide crucial footage for first responders. What an incredible day at Citymesh’ workshop on the applications of 4G and 5G in healthcare! It was a privilege to host healthcare professionals at Auberge du Pêcheur and dive into the ways mobile networks are shaping the future of hospitals. A huge thank you to our expert speakers for sharing their insights: - Mitch De Geest kicked off the event by introducing Citymesh and our role as a leading MPN provider - Jens Buysse presented real-world use cases, including some exciting projects - Senne Van Loon discussed the technical aspects of MPN integration into hospital infrastructures - Björn De Gloire covered the integration of MPN with PABX & patient call/alarming systems - Matthias Tommelein explored the shift from smart cities to smart hospitals and why hospitals need their own MPN.
