I am glad to share a view of Coexpair Dynamics AFP automation equipment to be installed soon at Syensqo material application center in Belgium. The most advanced thermoplastic processing head from Trelleborg Sealing Solutions will be integrated on our advanced platform to be ultimately installed at Syensqo lab. The program ambitions thermoplastic a higher deposition speed combined with improved materials. This technology can be compared to 3D printing but including long carbon fibers and a lot higher material performances. It features advanced laser heating.
Thank you to Belgian Defence ESI/F35 program, Lockheed Martin and Walloon Region for making this program possible! Working also on thermoset automation with Coexpair RTM/SQRTM molding solutions, this program path the way to our aerospace industry competitiveness. Also, one early program impact could be hydrogen tanks manufacturing.
Coexpair Dynamics ambitions to become a worldwide reference for Automated Fiber Placement equipment and R&D. We have 5 heads (4 to 12 tows 1/8" to 3" wide), laser & pulsed light as gas torch heating, gantry, robot, rotary axis, numerical simulation. We combine this with Coexpair RTM/SQRTM expertise and equipment. With this, we are already a unique place in the word for R&D on high performance composites.
