Luxembourg Stock Exchange becomes first European exchange to list Euroclear's Yulan bond, providing Chinese investors with enhanced access to a broader foreign investor base. A Yulan bond is an offshore bond issued by a Chinese-based entity through Shanghai Clearing House (SHCH) and settled exclusively through Euroclear Bank. Yulan bonds give Chinese domestic entities the opportunity to access international capital markets thanks to the cross-border cooperation between Shanghai Clearing House and Euroclear Bank as domestic and foreign central securities depository infrastructures.   Philippe Laurensy, CEO of Asia Pacific at #Euroclear, said: "Today's listing represents a significant achievement for our Yulan bond structure. We are pleased to announce that we have acquired a strategic stake in Marketnode, a Singapore-based digital market infrastructure operator. By joining forces with Marketnode and its existing shareholders – Singapore Exchange (SGX Group), Temasek and HSBC – we'll help establish a key market infrastructure in Asia-Pacific designed to simplify the management of funds flows and reduce settlement times by using new technology.
