SUCCESS for the DISCOVERY A-Mag Gradio. 20m/s ground speed with wind gust up to 37 km/h and the flight controller maintaining the speed with great stability. And no waste of time during the turn, like it is when using a "bird". We thank again the De Beers Group (https://lnkd.in/e6qziSg) and the Spectrem Pioneering Company (https://spectrem.co.za/) to rely on the Flying-Cam R&D Expertise to push the boundaries of innovation in Geological Mapping and Exploration. Thank you Anre, Thank you Louis, Thank you Brad... Next is a 500m2 survey grid with air to air footage... stay tune.

There is the Speed Run at 15m/s for the DISCOVERY A-Mag Gradio. Following calculation for that speed, there is a 10kg Drag generated by the Sensors 6m structure, this means a total of 28kg Load for the Discovery. All gages are in the Green Arc and we are close to best efficiency with the translational lift. Next will be 20m/s.

Before the next Speed Run to test the Max Airspeed, let's go for a full Automatic Spool Up to Nominal RPM, feeling the power of the 11 kW Turbine, and then lift the 75kg machine to a 10 meters stand by position. The Payload weight is 18kg with 6 meters wing span, it includes SATCOM, CASIA Sens & Avoid System and RMS Real time Compensator. Mag Sensors are provided by the Company De Beers - Spectrem, the first and forward looking Owner - Operator of this new breakthrough in Geophysics A-MAG Gradiometry. As Otto Lilienthal said: "To invent an airplane is nothing. To build one is something. But to fly is everything."

The New DISCOVERY A-MAG Gradiometry is flying, very well !... The Gradiometry technique involves using two sensors (Cesium Vapor), measuring the gradient of the magnetic field, which provides more detailed information about the subsurface features than a single sensor measurement. The sensor are 6 meters apparts... the R&D team spent a few hours to tune the Auto-Pilot to reach perfection. This is where having the Auto-Pilot R&D team under the same roof makes a huge difference.

🇧🇪 The Origin of Our Innovation As a young boy, our CEO was mesmerized by an animation on France 2 featuring men flying in the sky. Created by Belgian artist Folon Michel, this animation left an indelible mark on him. Inspired by this and driven by his passion for remote control flying and cinematography, he pioneered the first remotely controlled helicopter with a proprietary gimbal for 16mm and 35mm cameras. This innovation transformed aerial cinematography and earned our company two Oscars. Like Folon Michel, our founder hails from Belgium and embodies the spirit of innovation and creativity. His journey from captivated child to trailblazing entrepreneur showcases the power of dreams and determination. 🇧🇪 About it : Folon's animated sequence for the nightly closedown of the French television channel Antenne 2 lived long in the psyche of both native viewers and visitors to France as it lulled them to their peaceful slumbers. Set to "Emmanuel", a beautifully evocative composition by Michel Colombier, and first broadcast in 1975, Folon's creation showed an Everyman wearing a blue overcoat and floating above the clouds towards the sunset. The illustrator made light of his most famous creation, which ran on French TV for close to 10 years, saying: "My blue man, with his blue hat, clings to my skin, but he's really become part of popular culture. So let's leave him there. #Inspiration #Innovation #DroneTechnology #Cinematography #FlyingCam #AerialFilming #UnmannedHelicopter #BelgiumPride
