Over ons
Based in Delft, The Netherlands, Orbital Eye helps critical infrastructure operators, asset managers, and government institutions transition away from monitoring solutions that impact the environment, to sustainable and user-friendly alternatives. Our flagship service is CoSMiC-EYE: a monitoring solution which detects Third-Party Interferences (e.g., excavation- and construction works) close to energy networks. The CoSMiC-EYE solution is based on data from multiple satellite sensors, combined with advanced AI analytics. We currently serve customers on four continents; mainly oil-, gas- and water-network operators, but also environmental agencies and governments.

Orbital Eye on the Green! ️⛳ Last week our ever expanding team put their golfing skills to the test in a fun pitch and putt competition! 🏌♂️🏆 We had some impressive swings nearly on course for a deep space trajectory, a few misses, and plenty of laughter along the way! All in all, it was a great team-building activity and an excellent opportunity to strengthen our teamwork and communication, as well as our golf skills! It's great to see how activities like these bring us closer and make us even better at what we do. 🚀 #OrbitalEye #TeamBuilding #COSMICEYE

𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝! 🏗️ It was great to see Filemon Wesselink featured in this episode of #omscholenmetfilemon (Dutch) at Gasunie. This topic is highly relevant, as maintaining the safety of underground pipeline systems is indeed a critical priority. Additionally, the costs associated with damage from excavation work can be substantial. According to the 'Overzicht graafschades' report (https://lnkd.in/ezmA2XFi) by Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur, these costs are rising each year, reaching nearly €50 million in 2023! Having timely insight into activities near these critical infrastructures is crucial to prevent further damage. Satellite-based monitoring can contribute to detecting and mitigating even more of those activities, ultimately reducing the need for helicopter flights to perform such work. Satellite-based monitoring offers a continuous, reliable, and sustainable solution for these inspections. 🛰️ And, an added advantage of working with satellite-based monitoring is that you don't need to have a fear of flying with a helicopter. 😉 #pipelinesafety #monitoring #satellitedata

Successful week at the IPCE in Calgary 🇨🇦 This week at the IPCE - International Pipeline Conference and Exhibition, we presented a review of our satellite-based monitoring solution together with our customer PTT Group. The room was filled with pipeline enthusiasts, when PTT & Orbital Eye presented the impressive accuracy rate of over 93% for more than 5000 activities detected within a year. Thanks to everyone for joining the presentation. 👏 So far, the conference has been a great success, and we're excited to engage with more experts and professionals from the pipeline industry. 💬 Looking to improve your pipeline monitoring or class location procedures? Let’s connect! Feel free to reach out to Arnaud & Max 🤝 #PipelineMonitoring #SatelliteTechnology #IPCE2024 #PipelineSafety

📣 to all #pipeline #operators attending the #ipce2024 in Galgary this week. Don’t miss out on this one! Right-of-way monitoring the smart way…. Better 🏆, cost-effective 💰and more sustainable 🌎!!!
Interested how satellites can monitor thousands of kilometers of pipeline operationally? 🛰 Join our presentation at the IPCE - International Pipeline Conference and Exhibition in Calgary on the 24th of September from 3:30 – 5:00 PM. 🇨🇦 Together with our customer PTT Group, we will be presenting our paper called “A Review of Satellite-Based Solution for Pipeline Right-of-Way Monitoring”. Our collaboration with PTT started in 2022, when PTT was looking for an innovative and efficient monitoring solution to enhance the safety and integrity of their pipeline network. By leveraging our COSMIC-EYE solution, PTT is able to: - Increase detection accuracy: Identifying over 3,000 unique activities within a year, with an accuracy rate exceeding 90% - Enhance operational efficiency: COSMIC-EYE as the main input for operations, reducing the dependency on ground-based and UAV patrols, especially in hard-to-reach areas - Optimized monitoring costs: Achieving reliable and cost-effective surveillance through a smart combination of open and commercial satellite data Discover how our COSMIC-EYE solution can revolutionize pipeline monitoring with reliable, cost-effective, and scalable technology. We look forward to seeing you at the presentation! 🤝 #IPCE2024 #OrbitalEye #Conference

This week, Orbital Eye visited the US and Canada to meet with multiple customers and partners. 🇺🇸🇨🇦 During these meetings, the performance of our monitoring solution was presented, the value of satellite-based monitoring was discussed, and lots of valuable insights were gained, both during in-office sessions, and during field trips to the pipeline Right-of-Way. It is great to see how satellite-based monitoring really helps North American pipeline operators to optimise their monitoring processes. 🛰️ 🦺 And of course, no trip to North America is complete without visiting our partner Skywatch. Thanks James Slifierz Joel Cumming Marc Fleck Jordan Fox Gavin Tolometti for hosting us once again! 🙌🏻 #pipelinemonitoring #usa #canada #satellitedata

TPI Tuesday – excavators detected! 🚧 COSMIC-EYE detected excavators and tree grubbing activity near our customer’s pipeline, which can be seen in the optical imagery. Therefore, our customer went on-site and confirmed that there were indeed excavators and tree grubbing happening near the pipeline. 🌳🚜 When COSMIC-EYE detects any potential threats near our customers’ pipelines, we notify them immediately. This allows the customer to take timely action, such as visiting the site to assess the situation. ✅
