We didn’t expect these outstanding results 😮 In early 2023, we launched the Greenomy Academy—your platform to learn everything about the ever-evolving #ESG reporting regulations, such as the #CSRD and #EUTaxonomy. 1.5 years later… 10,000 people have passed through the Greenomy Academy. And they talk about it! Hundreds of Academy graduates have shared their certificates on social media, expressing their satisfaction with our bite-size e-courses 🎓 It’s a pleasure to build this community of professionals learning about ESG reporting and to empower them with essential skills that drive the green transition. These ESG standards mark the most comprehensive mandatory sustainability reporting requirements ever implemented, representing a significant step forward in enhancing corporate transparency and combating greenwashing. A huge kudos to our team of Sustainability experts who have translated nearly 1,000 pages of complex legal documents into user-friendly content! We have heard a lot about #CSRD by now, but one question remains: how to generate your report in practice? Creating a CSRD report is a dynamic, iterative process over the course of several months. To help accelerate this journey, Greenomy has developed a six-step methodology for comprehensive and effective reporting. Here’s a quick outline! 1️⃣ Double Materiality Assessment (#DMA) Based on your organisational boundary, determine the information that your organisation is mandated to disclose by identifying material ESG Impacts, Risks and Opportunities (IROs). 2️⃣ CSRD Reporting Scope Align the DMA results with the #ESRS to identify topics for reporting, laying down the foundation for your entire CSRD report. 3️⃣ Data Collection Strategy Develop an initial action plan for data collection, outlining data sources and ownership for each ESRS topic and its corresponding data points scoped previously. 4️⃣ Gap Analysis Review your existing data to assess quality and identify any gaps between your current data collection and the CSRD disclosure requirements. 5️⃣ CSRD Reporting Populate the report, either manually or automatically through an integrated ESG platform, ensuring it meets the machine-readable format requirement. 6️⃣ Strategic Roadmap After reporting, we highly recommend to create a roadmap to address identified data and process gaps, preparing for future reporting exercises. 💡 What does it mean to be “connected to an impact” in #CSRDReporting? The #CSRD requires companies to disclose the #impacts they have on the environment and society, marking a significant expansion in scope compared to previous #ESG regulations. These impacts are assessed through the #DoubleMaterialityAssessment, which helps identify impacts, risks, and opportunities—also known as #IROs. In his webinar “Value Chain and Data Consolidation for CSRD Reporting”, Quentin Hennaux, CSRD expert at Greenomy, explains what it means for a company to be linked to an impact, providing clear examples to illustrate the concept. 🔎 One of #CSRD’s most notable requirements is the need for #assurance engagements on sustainability reports, ensuring that companies provide reliable and accurate information about their material ESG impacts, risks and opportunities (IROs). Read this article to explore the role of assurance in the CSRD, the phased approach to limited and reasonable assurance, and the implications for companies, auditors, and stakeholders in navigating this new regulatory landscape. 👉 https://ow.ly/6Oop50TSxa5
