💡 Did you know you can customise your #CSRD report? The #ESRS introduced entity-specific disclosures, allowing companies to create additional disclosures to explain IROs that may not be covered, or covered with sufficient granularity, in the existing standards. These disclosures add a layer of customisable connections between standards. What does that mean exactly? Let’s take an example 👇 Consider a business that organises major events globally. During the Double Materiality Assessment, fan behaviour was identified as a material topic for the organisation due to its role in bringing together large audiences from around the world. Since the CSRD does not cover this specific issue, the company will need to establish one or more entity-specific disclosures to report on it. These disclosures could include a description of the actions and resources allocated to managing fan behaviour during events to mitigate risks to fan safety. The company might also track and report metrics such as the number of incidents related to fan behaviour at these events. These data points could include the description of the policies or actions and resources put in place to manage fan behaviour at major events. Entity-specific disclosure could also include the introduction of metrics such as the number of incidents resulting from fan behaviour at major events. These disclosures also allow organisations to include existing information disclosed in other frameworks. ➡️ These entity-specific disclosures allow organisations to include sustainability information that accurately represents their unique circumstances, ensuring a comprehensive overview of the company's ESG situation.

Understanding the role of Impacts, Risks, and Opportunities (#IROs) within the #CSRD framework is key to developing a robust CSRD report. IROs are central to identifying material impacts on the environment, society, and financial performance, thereby shaping the direction of your CSRD reporting. By effectively integrating IROs, you can strengthen your ESG strategy and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The #GapAnalysis is the second step of #CSRDReporting, right after the #DoubleMaterialityAssessment (DMA). Today, we explore this important step 👇 ➡️ What is it? Once companies have defined their reporting scope with the DMA, they must evaluate the gaps between their current available data and what they are required to disclose to comply with the CSRD, both in terms of quality and quantity. This step is called the #GapAnalysis. ➡️ Why is it necessary? The Gap Analysis is crucial for project planning as it allows companies to identify where the data is and who is responsible for particular data streams. Properly conducted, the Gap Analysis will equip the organisation with a set of existing datasets, a list of identified gaps to address, and a plan to mitigate these gaps. Conversely, if the Gap Analysis is inadequately prepared, the reporting team may face difficulties in streamlining the organisation around the reporting process. This could make the reporting exercise tedious and susceptible to delays, with potential oversights in both the identification of gaps and the use of existing data. — 🎓 Want to learn more about the Gap Analysis?
