Heau bv won a PropTech Startup & Scale-up Europe Award 2024! This prestigious competition, now in its 6th edition, is the largest of its kind in Europe, featuring 400+ contestants from across the continent. 💪 🏅 Monday, The top 50 companies of Europe had to pitch and we were the last one. I was deeply impressed and inspired hearing all the pitches of the other top 50 companies. I heard phrases like: we saved xx Mio tons of carbon, we maintain xx Mio m2 building, this is our fantastic team of 30+ people, we operate in 40 counties, we organize the HVAC control at the Louvre, we raised xx Mio Euros and so on… When it was our turn, we had just 4 minutes to present Heau's solution for instant hot water at showers. We received great compliments on our story and how everybody felt the problem that we were solving. They loved how we managed to combine technical innovation with design and sustainability. How we make it crystal clear what we do and the benefits. 🚿 It was amazing when they announced that Heau has was a finalist and secured a spot in the TOP10 of the PropTech Startup & Scale-up Europe community! We left with a beautiful trophy and a lot of new connections. It motivates us to work hard and keep pushing and make impact. 💦 I owe a huge thanks to the many mentors and organizations that have guided me along the way. They've emphasized the importance of storytelling, and I’m grateful that I listened. Our story continues to evolve, and I’m excited for what lies ahead. 🤝 A special shoutout to Chris Van de Voorde of JUUNOO , who has been an inspiration since our start. Yesterday, Heau bv was selected to showcase our instant hot shower at the Love Tomorrow festival. Our unique solution focuses on reducing water and energy waste while enhancing comfort. 👍 Set against the backdrop of a beautiful venue, our next-generation shower taps were displayed right in front of a majestic waterfall 💧 – What a symbolic setting, right! In plaats van meteen onder de straal te stappen, wacht je tot het water een aangename temperatuur heeft. Voor je het weet ben je een minuut verder voordat je daadwerkelijk de douche onder kunt stappen. 💧 Zonde van het #water en de #energie, dachten de Vlaamse ondernemers Philippe Bijnens en Alexander Gowie. Samen bedachten ze een oplossing: Heau bv. Een douchekraan die de warmte van de vorige douchebeurt opslaat, zodat de volgende keer direct de gewenste temperatuur uit de kraan komt. 🏡 De douchekraan werd het afgelopen jaar getest in DreamHûs. Het rommelige prototype, waarmee ze de eerste test uitvoerden op The Green Village, is doorontwikkeld tot een strak design dat zelfs al prijzen heeft binnengehaald.
