🎉 We are pleased to announce the establishment of the new IOM Global Office in Brussels! The office will be responsible for liaison, advocacy, cooperation and resource mobilization with the European Union Institutions, Bodies and Agencies and will provide strategic and operational guidance to IOM offices on EU-IOM activities around the world. 🌍 This will be done in close coordination between EU counterparts and IOM structures, and will ensure that key stakeholders are kept closely informed of IOM institutional developments. 🤝

IOM - UN Migration Moldova’s Protection Mobile Team continues to provide individual assistance to vulnerable migrants to prevent and respond to their protection risks and concerns, ensuring access to a wide range of urgent services, from legal assistance to mental health and psycho-social support. Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Europe, part of Global Data Institute at IOM - UN Migration, in its latest quarterly report, Mixed Migration Flows to Europe, Quarterly Overview (April-June 2024), presents available data and trends, including on: • Mixed Migration Flows to Europe • Migrant Flows Monitoring in the Republic of Türkiye • First Arrival countries, Italy, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Malta • Transits through the Western Balkan region • Migrants' presence in Europe and the Republic of Türkiye Some of the data include, from 1 April to 30 June 2024, 37,655 migrants, including asylum seekers, were registered, arriving in Europe through the three Mediterranean Sea routes: Central, Eastern and Western—and the Western African Atlantic Sea route—79,828 since 1 January 2024.
