#EWAC2024: Advocating for the inclusion of integrative medicine and integrative oncology in European public healthcare systems is our continuous mission, stated Elisa Baldini, IVAA Secretary-General and EUROCAM Chair, in a recent EUROCAM webinar dedicated to the added value of Integrative Oncology in tackling cancer during #EWAC2024. ➡ Dr Tido von Schoen-Angerer, IVAA Vice President, played a crucial role in moderating the lively debate. He mentioned that some concrete steps forward had recently been made thanks to the new World Health Organization draft strategy for Traditional Medicine for the next ten years, which underlines the need for increasing investments in research to integrate Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Healthcare into the health system. ➡ Integrating traditional medicine into the health system is the future, believes Dr Eran Ben-Arye, director of the Unit of Complementary and Traditional Medicine at the Department of Family Medicine|Haifa. #AnthroposophicMedicine is one of the most important traditional modalities worldwide, especially in integrative oncology. ➡ A structural dialogue is crucial for the future of #IntegrativeMedicine, said Dr Jalid Sehouli, Deputy Director of the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCCC) at Berlin's Charité Hospital.
