New YouTube video! This one is about agentic AI. It aims at giving a non-technical introduction to agents, presented at Vlerick Business School this week. It builds up the complexity by discussing: - what are LLMs - what are augmented LLMs - agentic workflows - actual agents - multi-agent systems - some real-life use cases. It is based on the blog post "How to build effective agents" by Anthropic. It makes the difference clear between agentic workflows, where people define a predefined path of steps, and LLMs are leveraged in each of the individual steps, and true "agents", which operate in an environment to perform a task autonomously. True agents are already emerging in various products. Some examples include Cursor Agent, OpenAI Deep Research and Manus AI. For custom use cases at ML6 | Your partner in AI, we typically work on "agentic workflows". This means that the humans are still in the driver seat: we are the "agent" and determine a clear path for the LLM to follow. We just leverage the power of LLMs in each of various predefined steps. This is exactly what Lena Raeymaekers, Stefaan Vanysacker and I did earlier today at Google Cloud Engage in Brussels where we were supposed to be giving a fancy presentation on how ML6 | Your partner in AI worked together with Genscom to transform their business with AI… Until the lights went out, and electricity got cut in the neighbourhood. Never ones to waste a good crisis, we slashed the visuals and trusted on some good old storytelling! Happy we were able to inspire the audience on how a small business was able to develop its own custom AI tooling to turnaround their costs and develop a new revenue stream. Some key takeawAIs (#sorrynotsorry) on how to decide where to invest in your own AI capabilities with limited budgets: 1️⃣ Have a clear goal on where you want to be in the next 3-5 years, define the key blockers/accelerators and look for use-cases that support these 2️⃣ Invest in the core of your business 3️⃣ Embrace your differences. On Wednesday we gathered some senior techies together to share inspiration on the AI space & get connected at Wintercircus Ghent.
