A vibrant civil society is crucial for eradicating poverty and tackling inequalities. As we enter a new political term, the EU must actively embrace the contributions of civil society organisations, including those working with children and young people. Their voices must be fully integrated into EU policies and partnerships. Save the Children Europe stands ready to work with the new European Parliament and international partners to turn this vision into a reality.

To build a future where every child can thrive, the EU must take bold, inclusive action and tackle the root causes of inequality. Grateful to CONCORD, European Peacebuilding Liaison Office (EPLO), and VOICE EU for facilitating much-needed dialogue between civil society and policymakers. It was a pleasure meeting Barry Andrews MEP, representing the @EuropeanParliament DEVE Committee. It’s time to place children’s rights at the heart of EU partnerships. Children, communities, and civil society must become equal partners in decision-making.
