🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 The Vlasbrug has been selected for the 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 in the 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 category! 🌉✨ Out of over 1000 global entries, this innovative bicycle bridge has made it to the spotlight. One thing's for sure, #teamSBE couldn't be prouder. Now, with our fingers crossed 🤞 and a dash of excitement, we're eagerly waiting for the next round. Will we make it to the final nominations in November? Is Vlasbrug set to secure the award? The search for solutions for the concrete slabs on the 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 is just one of the many aspects involved in the renovation of this impressive structure. #teamSBE is providing expert advice to De Werkvennootschap on this critical component of the project, ensuring the viaduct’s long-term safety and functionality. This exciting opportunity puts SBE at the forefront of innovative solutions for infrastructure in Belgium. Many bridges in Flanders are in dire need of an upgrade. The OverBruggen program will renew 49 bridges by 2030 through a public-private partnership (PPP), coordinated by the Departement Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken - Vlaamse overheid, Agentschap Wegen en Verkeer and De Vlaamse Waterweg nv. As part of this temporary partnership, SBE , alongside Arcadis and TRACTEBEL in the joint venture Bruggenbouwer, is taking a leading role. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝘆𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀 – 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!    👷♂️ 👷♀️ Last week, around 50 #expertsatplay participated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes at the impressive Bypass project.     After an insightful presentation by the project team, everyone witnessed   👀 the striking sight of the construction of a hundred of the most impressive pillars,   👀 the remarkable length of the first few 915 pre-stressed beams,   👀 and the sheer grandeur of the bow string bridge.    #teamSBE highly values these knowledge-sharing moments. They are priceless opportunities to bridge theory and practice, helping young colleagues learn faster while keeping our seasoned experts sharp.    𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄: the Bypass is a temporary highway, built by TM ROCO and essential for maintaining smooth traffic flow during the construction of the sunken R1 as part of the Oosterweel project. For this project, SBE collaborates as @TM Sturino together with partners TRACTEBEL and Royal HaskoningDHV.
