🎙It’s pitch-time! It's been a while, but we're once again open for pitches for two exciting projects: 🇪🇺 Borderlines is a podcast series based on personal narratives of border areas and in-between spaces in Europe. In a continent increasingly shaped by hardening nationalisms, these stories explore the places where different European identities meet, merge and mix. 🔼 ENTR is our multi-channel video project. We're looking for thought-provoking stories relevant to a young European audience from the following countries: Finland🇫🇮, Sweden🇸🇪, Denmark🇩🇰, and Iceland🇮🇸. 🔝 Ready to pitch? 🚀🌟 The Circle Hubs travelled to Belgrade at the end of November to establish a new media hub in Serbia’s capital. Our team of 7 participants, with diverse local and international backgrounds, is enthusiastically tackling one of Serbia’s most pressing challenges: bridging the gaps within its multifaceted media landscape and the Serbian public. 🇷🇸 During the design sprint we combined expertise and unique perspectives to develop a project aimed not just at addressing this structural issue, but also at enhancing connectivity and collaboration across different sectors of the Serbian media. The sprint was an energetic mix of brainstorming and collaboration, with ideas taking shape and partnerships forming right before our eyes!Keep an eye out for updates as the newly formed Belgrade hub team continue to test out and shape impactful solutions throughout the next three months of mentorship. 🌐🤝 We’re excited to add this new hub to The Circle's vision for a more interconnected, cross-border and innovative media future for Serbia and Europe as a whole. #TheCircleBelgrade #MediaInnovation #ConnectingSerbianMedia

Big news from The Circle: Lyon! The Estafette collective —the project which came out of the design sprint The Circle Hubs held in Lyon last April— ran its first MIL workshop in Lyon at Hôtel71 with about 25 participants. 🔎 What is MIL? It stands for “Media and Information Literacy”. Needless to say that given the current state of the news, which is threatened by disinformation and misinformation online, there’s still a lot of work to be done. The Estafette collective co-hosted a 2-day introductory workshop on podcasts and radio-writing on the theme of stereotypes in the city or in the countryside alongside educators, mediators and librarians from Greece, Italy, Portugal as well as France. 🎯 Their aim is to give as many people as possible the tools needed to tell their stories and give a voice to communities which are rarely represented or heard in the traditional media. 👏 Congratulations to them and stay tuned to hear about their next achievements!
