We need more feminists in positions of power, defending women's and minorities' rights. We can achieve a future where everyone feels represented and understood. Where everyone has equal rights. Where everyone is safe. Where everyone can freely be who they are. Where everyone has the right to decide for their body. On International Women's Day, just like every other day, our message is clear: We will keep fighting for that future with everything we've got. How do we create new #jobs? In an economy that respects the planet's boundaries. Where #energy is cheaper. And #invest in industries that don't destroy nature. With the "Clean Industrial Deal"! Remember this term; it will be used a lot in the next 5 years since it's the EU's new industrial strategy. Today, the European Commission presented its Clean Industrial Deal and an Action Plan for Affordable Energy. The Clean Industrial Deal is the Commission's strategy to make EU industries #climate-neutral and competitive; the action plan aims to reduce electricity and #energy prices for industry and consumers. While we welcome both initiatives, we must ensure that the #EUGreenDeal is the driver of European #competitiveness.
