Summer is starting for us! We will be closed from 20/07 to 11/08. 🏝️ The beaches will soon be full, but let's not forget that the ocean is still full of trash. This is why we are still collaborating with Manga Street and the designer Julie Storm Christensen. In 2-3 years, 3 colours have been created for Scoop, the designer flower pot and Scoopi, the small version, based on post consumer recycled EoL fishing nets: Dark green, turquoise blue and light green with ±45% PCR content. There is also 1 more colour based on post consumer recycled EoL agricultural foils and nets: Light lilac 47.5% PCR content. Enjoy the summer! #sdg #recycling #recycleddesign #summer #rotomoulding

We take sustainability seriously, which is why we extend this to the decoration of our offices, in addition to our own compounds. 🌿 The strips contain artificial grass waste that starts in the form of strands, which are then compressed with other recycled material. We also process these artificial grass strands ourselves in our compounds so that this can be used for rotational moulding, for example in a flower pot. In addition, this can also be used for injection moulding applications. Please contact us for more information! Approximately 42,000 cremations are performed annually in Flanders and Brussels, which is why, at the request of the VNOC (the Flemish network of public crematoria), we sought a sustainable alternative to metal transport urns. Driven by the growing demand for environmentally conscious solutions and the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions associated with urn production. The cradle-to-gate CO2-footprint of the OceanUrn® is 21 times lower than those of metal urns. Up to 12 million tonnes of plastic disappear into our oceans every year. That is why we developed OceanUrn®, made from discarded fishing nets and ropes from the fishing industry that are collected before they would be thrown into the sea. These are ground into plastic pellets from which we can then produce the urns. Funeral directors can return the OceanUrn® after use. Funico will then grind these urns again and with the plastic granules we can produce new ecological urns. This new urn represents a leap forward in sustainability and highlights that there is always room for innovation and improvement, even in the most traditional sectors. Beologic was proud to receive @SpesNostraHeule, owners of the title ‘Coolest School in Flanders 2022’. They were treated to an exciting tour through the inspiring world of sustainability.
