Bogotá is on the Move! 🛴🏀 October was a month full of activities for our CityMove team in Bogotá 🇨🇴 aiming to promote physical activity. We participated in the inauguration of the newest Happiness Centre, a space designed to support both physical and mental health through various activities and programmes for all ages. #CityMove also hosted two key workshops: one at the Happiness Centres, where stakeholders discussed how to enhance the community’s participation and improve service delivery. Another workshop gathered Ciclovía’s team to explore the expansion of this 50-year-old open-streets weekly event, which active living and healthier urban spaces. Finally, our partner's participation in the Second Colombian Congress in Physical Activity allowed us to share knowledge with national and international experts, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in making cities healthier for everyone. 🌍🚶♂️ Ljubljana 🇸🇮: A Model for Active Urban Living through #CityMove Ljubljana is setting an inspiring example in sustainable urban mobility and active living. Through #CityMove, we are working on two interventions to boost physical activity in the least active: 1️⃣ Walking Gaming App: An App designed for the least active groups to promote physical activity, targeting especially people with different physical or mental abilities. 2️⃣ Walk Along the Wire: Every May, Ljubljana hosts Walk Along the Wire, a mass participation sports and recreation event, with over 3000 participants of all ages, celebrating history and health. #CityMove will help evaluate and improve this iconic event's impact on physical and mental health. The University of Antwerp 🇧🇪 team organised two workshops for their interventions: Health Kiosk and Exercise on Prescription. 💡 The workshops aimed to review their governance structures through participatory activities and the development of a SWOT analysis, which helped identify the key priorities and possibilities for these projects. It was especially wonderful to see how driven and inspired the stakeholders were, and how they excelled in turning the projects’ challenges into promising strategies. Participants included representatives from various non-profit organizations, such as Logo Antwerpen, Eerstelijnszone Antwerpen, WCG ‘t Spoor, Community Health Workers, Huisartsen Groenendaal, Dehuispsycholoog, Vlaams Instituut Gezond Leven, SAAMO Antwerpen vzw, District Borgerhout, Ligo, Centrum voor Basiseducatie Antwerpen and Stad Antwerpen.   Here are some pictures from the workshops!
