👌What a great day yesterday! Bringing together users of our XEOS AURA 10 specimen PET-CT imager to showcase their experience in many different indications, and discuss with colleagues how to move the field forward. 🙏 Many thanks to our chair prof. Marian Vanhoeij and speakers dr. Anne-Sofie De Crem, prof. Bieke Lambert, dr. Valérie Vergucht and dr. Gary Walton for the wonderful presentations. 🍫 And all of that in the beautiful setting of the Chocolate Nation in Antwerp. 📣 This makes us already look forward to continuing the discussion on our next ‘Seeing the Unseen’ symposium at the EANM congress in Hamburg on Oct 20th. 👉 Check the comments for the registration link & reserve your seat!

I recently had the opportunity to participate in a highly productive training session on molecular surgery at Maria Middelares Hospital in Ghent, Belgium, focused on evaluating surgical resection margins in oncological surgery using the latest portable PET-CT technology (Aura 10), supported by XEOS I was joined by an outstanding team from the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia which included representatives from various surgical research lines at INCLIVA Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Dr. Elvira Buch, Clinical Chief of the Breast Pathology Unit and member of the General and Digestive Surgery Department; Dr. Elena Muñoz, from the Hepato-biliary-pancreatic Surgery Unit, also part of the General and Digestive Surgery Department; and Dr. Jorge Sabater from the Radioguided Surgery Section of the Nuclear Medicine Department, who, along with myself, is part of the Nuclear Medicine Research Team at INCLIVA Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria From the Radioguided Surgery Working Group of Sociedad Española de Medicina Nuclear e Imagen Molecular , we shared Spain's experience in 3D surgery, surgical planning with PET-CT powered by AI, and robotic molecular surgery, highlighting the potential of personalized medicine and interdisciplinary intervention using advanced technology and tailored radiopharmaceuticals. These advancements represent the future of oncological surgery, particularly in reducing positive margins and avoiding re-operations. Leveraging cutting-edge technology like the portable PET-CT can significantly enhance outcomes in cancer surgery. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Dr. Vincent Keereman , CEO of Xeos, for the invitation, and to his fantastic team, including Hagen Derde, Thijs van de Laak, and Guillem V., for their invaluable support. I also extend my gratitude to Dr. Bieke Lambert from the Nuclear Medicine Department and Dr. Valérie Vergucht, surgeon at Maria Middelares Hospital, for their collaboration. #Oncology #MolecularSurgery #NuclearMedicine #RadioguidedSurgery #Innovation #PETCT #AI #PrecisionMedicine #SurgicalPlanning #MedicalTechnology

⭐ Case video - Papillary thyroid carcinoma ⭐ Papillary thyroid carcinoma is the most common type of thyroid cancer. Depending on the stage at diagnosis, it is treated with a combination of (total) thyroidectomy, cervical lymphadenectomy and/or radioiodine treatment. Confirming intraoperatively that the target lymph nodes have been resected can be a challenge. If a lymph node metastasis is detected at follow-up, resection of the invaded lymph nodes in a second surgery can be considered. In this case video Dr. Valérie Vergucht (General Surgery) and Dr. Bieke Lambert (Nuclear Medicine) will explain you how a detailed view of resected lymph nodes can be obtained with high-resolution specimen PET-CT imaging during surgery. This information can help the surgeon determine if the targeted lymph nodes have been resected right at the point of surgery. 📹 This case video was developed with the support of Dr. Valérie Vergucht and Dr. Bieke Lambert of AZ Maria Middelares, Ghent, Belgium. Do you want to see more cases? Come and join them & team XEOS at ‘Seeing the Unseen’ symposium, October 3, 19h in Antwerp 💙! 👉 Links to registration and full imaging case in comments!
