Increasing awareness: Educate and raise awareness among employees about environmental issues and their impact on the planet. 2. Implementing green practices: Encourage behavior change and the adoption of sustainable practices like reducing waste, conserving energy, promoting recycling, and fostering biodiversity. 3. Promoting idea generation: Inspire employees to come up with innovative ideas and solutions to reduce our environmental footprint. 4. Being an example: Motivate other locations and colleagues to start their own green initiatives. 5. Driving organizational alignment: Build a local sustainability culture that aligns with our corporate decarbonization ambitions and guidelines. Together, we can make a difference! #Yazaki #YazakiEMEA #AutomotiveIndustry #Sustainability

  • Meet Bárbara Correia, Communication Specialist at Yazaki Portugal What is your current role at Yazaki? I started at Yazaki in September 2023, working as a Communications specialist. This means I’m responsible for all Communications issues at Yazaki Portugal and for corporate-wide projects. What do you like most about your work? It’s the opportunity to be creative. Each day brings something new, not only in communication but also regarding social events that I responsibly organize at our location. Which are the main challenges in your field of work? One of the challenges is keeping up with the changing trends in communication, both within Yazaki and the automotive industry. I tackle this by staying updated, collaborating closely with my colleagues. What does the Yazaki spirit mean to you? It influences my daily work life by encouraging a supportive and inclusive environment that values and respects everyone’s contributions. #Yazaki #YazakiEMEA #AutomotiveIndustry #Team

  • To bring a touch of Nippon culture to Yazaki Serbia, the team on site created a special ‘Japanese Corner’ within the factory. It offers employees a deeper connection both to the roots of the company and the diverse culture of the Land of the Rising Sun. The area features a fan adorned with the Japanese flag, intricate origami creations, and various other cultural artifacts. A whiteboard shows ""Japanese wonders"" with intriguing facts about national sports, food, religion, and traditions. Here, colleagues can learn about the tea ceremony, Matsuri (festivals), Japanese gardens, and brouse through books or dictionaries. By offering a cosy space for conversation, enjoying a beverage, or simply taking a break, the Japanese Corner is bringing Japan a little closer to Serbia. #Yazaki #YazakiEMEA #AutomotiveIndustry #Japan

  • The Yazaki Corporation has invited employees’ children from locations across the world to its traditional summer camp in Japan. This year, the event was held in the cites of Tokyo and Shizuoka. It had around 260 participants in total. 56 campers came from 18 different countries of Yazaki EMEA. The children visited the Yazaki world headquarters. There adventures didn’t stop there: Trips included the Miraikan (National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation) and Disneyland in Tokyo, the Odawara Castle in Kanagawa as well as the Atami and Mishima-Taisha shrine in Shizuzoka. At a Yazaki guesthouse party, the young travelers also met Riku Yazaki, President of the Yazaki Corporation. Both the event and its idea go back to 1977, when employees had less time to spend with their children, The former Yazaki president wanted to thank his staff by providing great moments for their offsprings. He also aimed to foster an understanding of diversity in society, culture, and customs. The 2024 Summer Camp edition perfectly achieved all of this. #Yazaki #YazakiEMEA #AutomotiveIndustry #Sustainability

Athletes from all three plants completed a challenging 5-kilometer course, which was far from ordinary. The route featured over 23 obstacles, including mud, ice, high walls, and many more demanding elements. Exhausted, but truly satisfied and happy, the 60 competitors overcame all odds and successfully reached the finals.
