  • 🔻 We are proud to announce that our colleague, Dragos Tarța, will be representing YMCA Europe at the Commissioner Policy Dialogues this coming week, engaging in a high-level discussion with Hajda Lahbib, Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management. This exceptional opportunity places YMCA Europe at the forefront of youth advocacy, ensuring that young people's voices are heard in shaping a more resilient and responsive Europe in the face of diverse crises and spearheading youth participation in democratic processes through our dedicated platform, the European Youth Representative Network (EYRN). 🌍The Commissioner Policy Dialogues is a remarkable opportunity for direct and impactful engagement with EU Commissioners across key policy areas. YMCA Europe's involvement underscores our commitment to ensuring youth perspectives are integrated into the European policymaking process, amplifying the voice of young people where it matters most. 💡This participation is not just significant—it’s a testament to the growing recognition of youth as vital stakeholders in Europe's future.

  • 🔻Do you know how YMCA in Kosovo is empowering young leaders to design and develop social action projects that are aligned with #YMCAVision2030? 💡From air pollution to recycling, from green solutions to water protection, 65 young people came up with different and quite creative ideas through the #UPSHIFT workshop over the past weekend, and we are impressed to see their bright minds together within a team dynamic.

🔻This week, our colleague from the European Youth Netwrork Representative (EYRN) group Elina Bimpiri is attending the "Essentials of International Youth Activities" training in Strasbourg, organized by the Council of Europe. 🌍The training aims to develop young people's skills in the development of international events and activities, integrating themes of non-formal education, active citizenship and human rights in order to provide participants with a comprehensive skillset for bringing the values of democracy closer to European youth. 🎤"Being part of this training has been incredible, I’m loving the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and gain inspiration from both participants and trainers. It’s also been eye-opening to see the structured, theoretical background behind many of the things we’ve been intuitively doing in trainings through experience and being given tools to pass that knowledge down more effectively. Doing all of these inside the working place of the CoE youth sector also gives us the opportunity to interact and learn more and I’m also looking forward to diving into the more technical aspects and working on project management and coordination skills!" ❗We are grateful for the opportunity to develop comprehensive youth events and to engage in the empowerment of young leaders who drive their communities forward. The resources provided by this training are invaluable and will serve as guiding principles for a very exciting upcoming opportunity for youth who will bring the change they want to see in the world! Stay tuned!
