🚀Despite 84% of companies prioritising Responsible AI (RAI), many are still facing serious hurdles according to an AWS RAI survey: - Scaling: 60% struggle to spread RAI across the organisation - Executive Buy-In: 55% can’t get top management fully on board - Lack of Frameworks: 63% lack clear guidelines, leading to inconsistencies across the company - Compliance Issues: 58% are overwhelmed by evolving regulations ❓ So, what are RAI leaders doing differently ? An MIT Sloan study gives some answers: - RAI as a Strategic Priority: RAI isn’t just a box to check; It’s front and center on the leadership agenda. 77% of RAI leaders invest heavily in resources like training, talent, and budget (compared to only 39% of others) - Alignment with CSR: RAI leaders align AI ethics with their Corporate Social Responsibility goals, recognising that fairness, transparency, and accountability are natural extensions of ethical business - CEO-Level Involvement: Nearly 50% of RAI leaders have their CEO actively involved in RAI initiatives, more than double their peers. High-level backing is crucial in giving these efforts the momentum and attention they deserve 👀 Not only are RAI leaders doing things differently, they’re also seeing different results - Business Gains: 41% report improved products, services, and profitability—almost triple the success rate of less committed firms - Regulatory Readiness: 51% are ready to meet new AI regulations, compared to less than a third of their competitors - Talent Attraction: A 35% improvement in attracting and retaining top talent How is your organisation approaching Responsible AI? A recent BCG survey revealed that 66% of 1,400 executives feel uncertain or dissatisfied with their organization’s data and AI progress. Primary reasons for this dissatisfaction include: - Lack of a clear roadmap and defined investment priorities - Absence of a Responsible AI (RAI) strategy and vision - Talent and skill gaps It’s disappointing to see organisations missing out on the full potential of data and AI. Companies should spend sufficient time to identify and prioritise initiatives, using a top-down, business-driven approach to maximise impact. Does your organisation have a clear roadmap in place? #AI #AIStrategy #DatashiftStrategy

As we all feel, tech is moving faster than ever, and every executive is trying to figure out what’s next. Generative AI is driving this wave of change, but throw in global shifts and the need to streamline processes, and it’s a lot to digest. Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, nailed it in their Q3 2024 earnings call: “Generative AI is the biggest market expansion in software and hardware we’ve seen in decades.” And a recent study by Bain, in their technology report, is backing it up: the AI hardware and software market is set to explode, growing 40-55% every year, hitting $990 billion by 2027. Want to surf the wave of change? Let's have a chat on strategically deploy AI in your organisation. #DatashiftStrategy #AIMarket #GenAI

Here’s the reality: companies that have gotten the basics down—workflow automation, RPA, and OCR—are already moving beyond the usual. They’re using AI in practical ways, like machine learning for processing documents or natural language tools for writing job descriptions. And the gap between those pushing forward and those holding back is growing. Leaders are quietly upping their AI budgets, with 33% planning to invest more in 2024, up from 21% in 2022. Meanwhile, the more cautious players are scaling back, with only 13% planning an increase. It’s clear—those leaning into AI are steadily pulling ahead. #AI #Automation #DataStrategy

Generative AI is the hot topic of 2024. Everyone, from cloud providers to big enterprises, is investing big. The recent Bain Technology Report highlights the potential benefits.    But here's the catch: Not everyone is seeing the returns they expected.   Why? AI isn't a magic button. It's not about just deploying the tech; it's about how you use it. What we’ve found at Datashift is that AI only drives real value when businesses get their hands dirty. That means rethinking processes, setting clear goals, and making sure your teams are ready to adapt.   The good news? We’ve seen firsthand how companies that dive deep and embrace this shift are already reaping the rewards. If you want to leverage AI successfully, it’s all treating it as a business transformation.   #DatashiftStrategy #DataStrategy #AI #AIStrategy

🔍 How GenAI Empowers Knowledge Workers A recent study by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) highlights the dual role of Generative AI (GenAI) in enhancing productivity among knowledge workers. While it significantly improves performance on straightforward tasks—such as data analysis and report generation—it also reveals that over-reliance can undermine effectiveness in more complex, nuanced activities. The study surveyed 480 consultants across various industries, uncovering essential insights into how GenAI interacts with diverse skill levels. It suggests that while less experienced workers may benefit greatly from automation and support, seasoned professionals might struggle with dependency on these tools for critical thinking and problem-solving tasks. To harness GenAI's full potential, organizations must strike a balance: leveraging its capabilities for efficiency while encouraging human expertise to address intricate challenges effectively. This approach ensures optimal outcomes in an increasingly digital workplace. #GenerativeAI #DataStrategy #Datashift
