LE PIC: An innovative project by Groupe Cardinal 🌿 No more demolition! Just adapt and replant, this is the commitment behind LE PIC (POLE D'INNOVATION COLLABORATIF). This regeneration of a former industrial site into a multi-use and landscaped space combines environmentally high-value materials with user-centered design. This 18.000 m² collaborative innovation hub in Clermont-Ferrand brings together coliving, coworking, dining areas, and even a jazz club. 🎷 The landscape design will feature about one hundred trees sourced from local supplier, and green spaces will be developed. This abundance of vegetation, promoting evapotranspiration, helps reduce urban heat islands, providing greater comfort for users. The construction and rehabilitation of the site are BREEAM Very Good certified. K-Nopy: where creativity meets sustainability Located in the heart of the European Quarter, this redevelopment transforms an obsolete office building into a welcoming space for the State of the Netherlands and its embassy in Brussels. This new office building uses an existing concrete structure, halving its carbon footprint compared to typical demolition-reconstruction projects. 🌿 Carbon Neutral: K-Nopy is focusing on reducing and offsetting residual CO2 emissions by conducting an in-depth analysis of its carbon footprint over 60 years (construction and use stages). 🔍 BREEAM Outstanding Certified: With an exceptional score of 98.2%, K-Nopy ranks among the most sustainable buildings in Belgium. 🏡 Fossil Free: By eliminating fossil fuels, the project emphasizes reducing energy consumption. The photovoltaic panels installed on the roof generate the energy necessary for the building's operation while preserving the quality of outdoor spaces. 🦋 Biodiversity: To enhance local biodiversity, an ecologist and a landscape architect have been engaged.
