As we enter the third quarter of 2024, it's time to assess how this year's finance trends align with earlier projections and look at what we can expect in 2025. Is Generative AI going to be the most influential trend across the financial services sector, will even more organizations transition to hybrid cloud models, what will be the state of Open Banking? As always, the best place to find all of that out is Money20/20! Our team will be in Las Vegas, Oct. 27-30, to get business-critical insights and exchange ideas and expertise with fellow innovators. Come find us at Booth 5775. #Money2020USA

Artificial Intelligence and Predictive analytics are often subject to comparison and juxtaposition, but can you use both? Especially if they are expected to all but merge in the foreseeable future. While Predictive Analytics is based on historical data, AI’s capabilities, like Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing, take data-driven decisions to the next level. Here’s how to leverage both: ➡️ Enhance existing Predictive Analytics models with AI to increase precision and uncover new or hidden patterns. ➡️ Merge AI's real-time processing with Predictive Analytics for dynamic decision-making. ➡️ AI can expand data sources by integrating unstructured data into existing analytics frameworks. ➡️ Let AI automate routine tasks like data preparation and feature selection so your experts can concentrate on higher-level analysis. ➡️ Combine AI-driven personalization with predictive customer insights for unparalleled targeting. To wrap it up – AI integration into existing Predictive Analytics ecosystems is not a replacement but an evolution that empowers companies to optimize current investments while tapping into technological innovation. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dFEe6wBP

#Agile methodologies have become increasingly complex, often overshadowing the essence of what we aim to achieve—delivering working software early and frequently. Nothing more! ⬇️ Every few years, we witness a rebellion within our industry - a pushback against over-formalization, as the Agile manifest was. This is not new; it's a natural response to the pendulum swinging too far in one direction or another. We have once again swung to an extreme, complicating the software development process too much, and we expect another shift soon. We will witness a new rebellion against excessive formalization. In Agile, there is an eternal struggle between process formalism and the focus on delivering working code. Programmers believe they can create software on their own. However, what value does it bring if you can create great software in your basement and no one uses it, nor does it solve anybody’s problem? On the other hand, there is a tendency for project managers, when left to operate in a vacuum, to create complex processes that push programmers into the corner, causing them to rebel even more strongly against it. Conversely, large companies are starting to use complicated customized agile methodologies as a path for vendor lock-in in service delivery. More and more customized versions of Agile methodologies are emerging and are being offered in the form of consultancy services. They get implemented, and people start swearing by the process, understanding their work only in terms of this process and not knowing what to do beyond it. It continuously changes, and you need new consultations from companies that have done your transformation with that specific methodology. Thus, #Agile begins to resemble life coaching marketing funnels, where each subsequent level is more complex and unlocked at a higher price. We swing between formalization and liberalization; some advocate for super-narrow specialization in software development, while others preach super-generalization. We don't think there is a right way—both ways work depending on context. But in simple Agile, we should get back to basics. Agile promotes lean management—trust the people to get the job done. If you do not trust them – why did you hire people you do not trust? We should standardize as much as possible, but at the same time, we need to let people interact freely without the restraints of over-complicated processes and process tools. As with many other things in engineering – it's a fine balancing act. 🤔 Take a look at this random, complicated Agile methodology description. Where are the developers? No one likes to be pushed to the bottom left in a process within an industry named after what they do. #CTOpicks #Agile
