  • As we anticipate Bermuda’s most celebrated event in August, it’s the perfect time to highlight how Cup Match transcends traditional tourism by tapping into the expanding market of experiential tourism. Cup Match is Bermuda's most beloved and historic event, embodying the essence of our island’s cultural identity. Held annually over two days, this cricket match is more than just a sporting event; it is a vibrant celebration of Bermudian heritage, community, and resilience. As travellers have shifted from passive sightseeing to seeking authentic, immersive experiences that connect them with the culture and heritage of their destinations, Cup Match exemplifies how Bermuda’s unique offerings cater to the growing trend of experiential tourism for Cultural Enthusiasts. The event is a microcosm of Bermudian life, featuring traditional music, dance, and culinary delights. From the colourful Gombey dancers to the irresistible aroma of local cuisine, Cup Match provides a sensory experience unlike any other. Cup Match exemplifies how Bermuda can attract and captivate the modern traveller who seeks more than just relaxation. It offers a blend of history, culture, and communal celebration that transforms a visit into an unforgettable journey of discovery. We invite you to join us in celebrating Cup Match this August and to experience how Bermuda’s most iconic event can redefine your perception of travel. Discover the stories, savour the traditions, and be part of a celebration that is as enriching as it is exhilarating.

  • After considering the talent on the island, Michaela Antoinette came up with the concept for Art Drop Bermuda, a platform for artistic entrepreneurs. Launching this month at Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, the one-off display will showcase 40 works by 12 invited artists. 🎨 “Art Drop Bermuda is an additional option for professional emerging and established Bermuda-based artists to showcase their work at our bespoke events,” Antoinette said. Art Drop Bermuda takes place on July 26 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on The Regency Terrace at Hamilton Princess & Beach Club. Admission is free. • Congratulations to Bermudian sailor Rachael Betschart for taking the top spot at the SailGP Women’s Inspires event in San Francisco over the weekend! At the age of 16, she became the first female winner of the WASZP foiling class at the Bermuda Sail Grand Prix in 2022 and continues to make our small island proud overseas. Thank you for inspiring the next generation of Bermudian sailors and female athletes 🇧🇲👏 #BTAInsights #GoToBermuda
