𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 & 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐬 This past week, a Training of Trainers session on Natural Dyeing on Cotton Yarn and Cotton Yarn Spinning brought new skills and vibrant colors to the women of Bangyul Kapa Detshen in Durungri village, Pemagatshel! A team of 24 talented women (members from Mekuri, Bangyul, and Durungri), including seven inspiring youth members, participated, learning age-old techniques with a modern and sustainable twist. This initiative is more than training—it's about empowering women, celebrating traditional crafts, building a sustainable future, and letting the youth learn the age-old traditions in the communities. The activity is part of the project Creating Livelihood Options for Youth through the Promotion of Cotton (Natural Fiber) Production, supported by UNICEF Bhutan. Here's to the women artisans and changemakers leading the way! #OrganicCottonFarming #sustainablecrafts #empoweringwomen #YouthInAction #naturaldyes #handmadewithlove #unicefbhutan
