This week, Dinesh Kumar, Senior Vice President, Partnerships, 369 Global attended the Canada - African Chamber of Business' Reception for H.E. Albert Muchanga, Commissioner for Economic Development, Trade, Industry and Mining, African Union with the Hon. Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, and Economic Development as well as MP Robert Oliphant, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada. In 2023, the value of Canada’s merchandise trade with African countries totalled $16.3 billion. This recent renewed commitment by the Government of Canada and the African Union through the second edition of the High Level Dialogue and the signing of a new memorandum of understanding opens up even great opportunities for Canadian companies to explore on the Contintent and vice-versa. Last week, Wazeer "TJ" Jalal, Senior Vice President, International and Dinesh Kumar, Senior Vice President, Partnerships, 369 Global attended the Canada-ASEAN Business Council's Conference & Cocktail in Montréal, Québec. With over 200 attendees, the event brought together Canadian dignitaries and ASEAN diplomats to explore and deepen Canada-ASEAN trade ties and highlighted the region's potential in cleantech and agritech, with a special focus on fostering investment and collaboration opportunities. As we prepare to go on Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada's upcoming Team Canada Trade Mission to Indonesia and the Philippines in a few weeks, the conference proved to be a great opening act to what is certainly going to be a productive and informative trip to these fast growing emerging markets. With the support of our friends at the CABC, we also shared our newest venture, 3 magazine, with attendees to a great deal of excitement.
