Amazon Web Services (AWS) brings together some of the brightest minds in AI and Generative AI, helping startups and enterprises fulfil their full potential. These past few weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting their Gen AI loft event at White Rabbit Studios. Inspiring talks about AI investment, and using AI responsibly have taken place, while workshops provided plenty of opportunities to connect startups, investors, and industry experts. It was the perfect space to learn, network, and imagine the future of tech together. We had a fantastic demo from Acrylic Robotics, showcasing the ability to recreate artwork in real time, and with real paint, using a robotic arm trained on Amazon SageMaker. The amazing Kiwibot AI robots were also busy greeting and interacting with the guests, tackling the White Rabbit terrain and offering up some gifts. It's been great so far to be a part of this future-defining event, we’ve definitely got a real glimpse of what’s to come. We had an incredible time at the ALL IN AI conference in Montreal, where we showcased our painting robot, ARI, live in action! A huge thank you to the conference organizers for hosting such an inspiring event and to everyone who stopped by our booth to chat with our head of engineering Walker Singleton and our lead mechanical designer Renzo Villanoy! Also a huge shoutout to our internal artist, Sie Douglas-Fish, who partnered with us to bring their piece, ‘Steel Woman’, to life. We are proud to be part of a future where creativity and AI work hand in hand. 👩💻 I am finally gathering my thoughts after an intense week in Montreal for ALL IN, the most important event dedicated to Canadian AI! With the support of Invest Quebec | Investissement Québec International, we welcomed a dozen VC, CVC and tech scouts from Silicon Valley, New England and New York to showcase the expertise and innovation in #AI coming out of Quebec. The program included presentations on the AI ecosystem at the Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, with SCALE AI | Canada's AI Global Innovation Cluster, CEIMIA and IVADO, in collaboration with the federal Trade Commissioner Service | Service des délégués commerciaux. Our group then got to visit Espace CDPQ, Canada's largest venture capital community, learn more about the VC ecosystem in Quebec and meet other investment funds. The first day ended with NEXT AI demo day, the leading national accelerator and founder development program for early-stage AI-powered startups. 🤝 The next few days at the ALL IN conference were packed as Marie-Elaine Beaudoin, Clara St-Pierre Lamy and I organized more than 80 B2B meetings between Quebec startups and our guests! 🤯 If you want to get a feeling of the conference, I encourage you to read Gami Dadusc Maislin's articles and post about her trip! It was great to finally meet in person some of the companies we are working with, like Amanda Arciero MSc from Airudi and Amy Lorincz from Vope Medical, and see in action Acrylic Robotics painting robot! Looks like everyone was in Montreal last week. Not only did I get to see Rachel Banville, but I also ran into an ex-colleague from Québec Government Office in Atlanta, Yoann Turquetil, at the airport on my way back! What a small world.
