#CareerSpotlight: Meet Eric, a foreman at AGF! His key role is to make sure that everything runs smoothly on the job site, by expertly managing his team of rebar placers. He is now overseeing the Elora project, the biggest project of his career, and has also contributed to major projects such as the Autoroute 25 bridge and the CHUM. What does he appreciate most about his work? Team spirit! At AGF, in the rebar industry, it’s all about team work💪

AGF is partnering with MONTONI in the construction of Laval's new multifunctional cultural center in the province of Quebec! What does this project include? 🏢 Seven levels (five above ground and two underground) 📚 A large library 🎭 An auditorium 🖼️ An art gallery and a dance studio In total, more than 2,000 metric tons of rebar will be used for this project and in January 2025, AGF began the installation of rebar for the project’s first major element: a massive raft slab. We are expected to remain involved in the project until October 2025, with the cultural center’s full completion scheduled for early 2027. We look forward to the final look!

We are proud to have hosted 24 fundraising and awareness activities including Lunch & Learns, 50/50 draws, treasure hunts and more. AGF employees had the opportunity to learn about all the initiatives that bring the Foundation to life and how they can contribute. A big thank you to our 3 guest speakers who shared their mission with employees and highlighted the importance of our support and the 21 dedicated Foundation ambassadors across business units for organizing these events. AGF has been a part of the Duravit Plant in Matane, Quebec—the world's first climate-neutral ceramic facility. Completed in December 2024, this innovative plant will save over 8,500 tons of CO₂ annually and create 240 local jobs, boosting the economy. AGF Group Foundation Week is officially underway across all of our business units 🎉 Created in 2012, our Foundation has supported more than 250 organizations across Canada, distributing $4.5 million in communities where AGF is present. In addition to supporting fundraisers regularly organized by AGF employees, the AGF Group Foundation has 10 active financial commitments with charities, with guaranteed support between 3 and 10 years. So far we have collaborated with organizations like Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation’s, Restoring Hope, LLC, CAMH and we are striving for more.
