AIMGA is a Centre for Internationally Trained Doctors seeking licensure in Canada and/or alternative careers in health.
About us
AIMGA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the successful integration of International Medical Graduates across Canada. We believe our clients have a contribution to make within our system and communities and therefore our goal is to deliver quality services and programs to assist them at every step in the licensure process - from their arrival, through the various examinations, to their applications, into residency, and into practice. Their journey is not an easy one. With that in mind, we also assist our clients to find other pathways into health care where they can use their skills and knowledge. While we are a small organization, we are mighty. Our five core values at AIMGA include being responsive to the needs of our members, working together, having a professional and friendly attitude, delivering quality programs, and keeping our clients best interests at the heart of what we do. These values guide our interactions and decision making to ensure we are equipping our clients with relevant information, communication skills, and cultural knowledge in order to perform at their best and to integrate successfully into the Canadian health care system.

Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Mount Royal University, with a double minor in Accounting and Psychology
A huge thank you to Alison Davison, Ty, Jayde Richards, and Michelle Asselin, and the team at Shoppers Drug Mart store 0311, for coming to AIMGA - Alberta International Medical Graduate Association to train our Patient Navigator Program on the use and benefits of Naloxone (narcan kits) Narcan kits contain naloxone, a medication that can rapidly reverse opioid overdose effects, including slowed breathing. Administering Narcan promptly can restore normal respiratory function, preventing fatal outcomes and providing a crucial window for further medical intervention. Naloxone kits turn seconds into second chances, saving lives from the grip of opioid emergencies You can pick up a Narcan kit at any Shoppers Drug Mart location across Canada, no questions asked, no judgment. NALOXONE SAVES LIVES. Everyone should have a naloxone kit on you, in your car, in your home, in your bag/backpack, and when they expire just return them to your nearest Shoppers Drug Mart location for a safe and effective disposal. A huge thank you to Drew Bowman and AIMGAS Executive Director Deidre Lake for setting up the event. Alison Davison Peter Thomson Steve Ewens CPHR Deidre Lake Drew Bowman
