Alberta's tech ecosystem is booming! Last week, Amplify Capital's Jotham Chow was moderating a panel on Scaling Climate Tech for Global Impact: Lessons Learned from Investors & Founders at #InVentures2024 with our portfolio companies Carbon Upcycling Technologies, Future Fields and ALT TEX. It was a great conversation for them to share their biggest learnings for up and coming climate tech founders. #climatetech #InVentures2024 #impactinvesting
I had a great conversation at #InVentures with our portfolio companies Myra Arshad (ALT TEX), Madison Savilow (Carbon Upcycling Technologies) and Matthew Alexander, CPA, CA (Future Fields) speaking on Scaling Climate Tech for Global Impact: Lessons Learned from Investors & Founders. Some key takeaways from our conversation: 1. Find great, early commercial partners to help. They can show you the ropes and really accelerate your know-how and growth. 2. Always have a supply-chain integration in mind when scaling up on the manufacturing and commercial side. 3. There's a lot of moving puzzle pieces when you're first starting out. Sometimes you have to get creative with your funding and milestones. Prioritize and don't be afraid to be scrappy. Big thank you to everyone who attended the panel and for the great conversations.
