Robert Delamar and the team at Kanata Clean Power are driving to make big things happen. AP Dynamics is excited to be part of this project with Bob's team.
Kanata Clean Power in partnership with Frog Lake Energy Resources Corp. is proud to announce today we are beginning a feasibility study, with work to be completed by AP Dynamics to build an Indigenous Energy Corridor, from the US Great Plains to Edmonton, which would include both an 830,000 bpd oil pipeline and a low carbon hydrogen and/or ammonia pipeline, to connect Kanata's low carbon hydrogen/ammonia facilities and pipelines under development in Wyoming, Montana and Alberta, to Edmonton as a regional trans-shipment hub for legacy and future energy supplies. As part of this development, we are exploring the feasibility of extending the Indigenous Energy Corridor to link Montana and Wyoming to US North-South energy infrastructure, bringing USGC low carbon hydrogen and/or ammonia North, and Canadian oil South. This is a critical project, which will ensure continental energy security for future generations. The project would be developed as a 50/50 Joint Venture between Kanata and Canadian First Nations and US Tribal Nations. “We’re not blind to the obvious realities of the difficulties here,” Delamar said in an interview. “We believe we have an advantage and will succeed because it’s an Indigenous-owned project. The second point is that there is political will on both sides of the border to make this happen right now.” Industry and government recognition that Indigenous people ought to have meaningful equity stakes in projects distinguishes new proposals from past fossil fuel development, he added. “The people with the rights and title to that land since time immemorial, they decide whether or not they want a pipeline in their backyard—and if they don’t there’s no project,” Delamar said. https://lnkd.in/gffHQ6rs
