From serving as an Accident & Emergency nurse in the Royal Air Force to excelling in her role as an Occupational Health & Hygiene Manager in the oil and gas industry, Laura has shown remarkable resilience and adaptability.     Our Consulting team was recognised for their role in leading a Joint Industry Partnership to create first-of-its-kind industry guidelines for CO₂ specifications to accelerate sustainable carbon capture, utilisation and storage projects. In line with our commitment to accelerating diversity and inclusion at Wood, women now make up 37% of our leadership population, moving us closer to our goal of 40% by 2030. Reflecting on this progress, our ranking in the FTSE Women Leaders Review improved significantly this year, making us the fifth most improved company in the UK’s FTSE 250. ✨Spotlight on Alessandra Parlato✨ As we prepare to mark International Women's Day 2025, we're spotlighting Milan-based Project Manager, Alessandra Parlato. Since her days as a project engineer, Alessandra has supported the delivery of challenging and complex engineering projects including the highly complex coke drum replacement project at Romania’s Petrobrazi Refinery for our client, OMV Petrom. Her great work with OMV Petrom at Petrobrazi continues as she supports Wood’s engineering, procurement and construction management scope to boost production of sustainable aviation fuel.
