Toronto, ON — July 23, 2024 — Toronto DAO, the city’s pioneering decentralized autonomous organization, is proud to unveil its new logo, a symbol of community effort and collaboration. This logo is the result of a dedicated initiative to create a human-centric design that truly represents the spirit and identity of Toronto DAO. The winning design, featuring the iconic CN Tower, was spearheaded by Toronto DAO core member and special projects lead Husnain. A Collective Achievement in Design The initiative began with a push from the community to replace the original AI-generated logo with one crafted by human hands, reflecting the organization's values of transparency and inclusivity. Several versions of the logo were produced, and Toronto DAO members were given the opportunity to vote for their favorite design. The voting process took place both on-chain via the Snapshot platform and within the community WhatsApp group from July 17 to July 19. The combined vote result determined the winning logo, emphasizing the collective effort and engagement of the membership. The new logo will be publicly displayed for the first time during a crypto-related event, the Toronto Tech Fest Yacht Party, coinciding with the Blockchain Futurist Conference week in Toronto. Toronto DAO is proud to be recognized as the official community partner of the Blockchain Futurist Conference, showcasing the city’s leading role in blockchain innovation. Voices from the Core Husnain ., who led the logo design project, shared his thoughts: “The new logo represents not just our identity, but our unity and commitment to building something great together. It’s a symbol of our collective vision and the collaborative spirit that defines Toronto DAO.” Samir Azizi, Toronto DAO Co-Founder, expressed his excitement about the new logo: “I am thrilled that the decision on our new logo was made collectively by Toronto DAO members. This process exemplifies the core values of our DAO, where every member's voice matters. I hope we continue to make more decisions together, driving the DAO forward as a united community.” With the new logo in place, Toronto DAO is focused on further engaging the community and developing its platform.
