Meet Brenda, our Volunteer Coordinator at Sun Pointe, Mill Creek, and Smith Creek Villages in Kelowna! Since joining Baptist Housing in 2015, Brenda has been instrumental in creating vibrant volunteer teams at all three locations. With 24 years of experience as a Volunteer Coordinator, her dedication shines through every day. Brenda finds joy in recruiting and managing volunteers, making a positive impact on both the volunteers and the residents they serve. She loves what she does and can't imagine doing anything else! Outside of work, Brenda eagerly awaits spring to hit the golf course and indulges in her love for canning. She has 100 one-litre jars of tomatoes stored away! She also enjoys treating herself to new shoes more often than she should, because who doesn’t deserve a little treat now and then? Meet Shaena Wallace, our Activity Supervisor at Marrion Village and Elgin Gardens. Shaena's journey with Baptist Housing commenced four years ago. She stepped into the role of Activity Supervisor driven by her passion to empower the residents she serves to actively engage in their community. Shaena firmly believes that a sense of belonging and connection are essential for overall wellness. Her primary focus is to provide residents with opportunities to foster connections and cultivate a strong community through a diverse range of activities. The creativity involved in organizing and planning these activities is what Shaena truly cherishes about her job.
