Bon Jam Animation

Last Friday marked the end of our film Elon Vs Mark's exclusive festival run with its screening at Fantasia International Film Festival. We couldn't be happier to have been selected at such an great iconic event. To celebrate the occasion we started to release online bits and teasers of the movie over the weekend. What ended up being a short film selected and awarded in festivals was in fact meant from the very start to be the studio's first opportunity at dipping our toes in the waters of the online indie animation community. Like many young studios out there, service work is a big part of our bread and butter, but like many creatives, our wish is to push our own ideas forward in the hope of finding an audience for work that is closer to our interest, passion and dedication to the craft. Here's chapter 1 of our little animated saga:

Being based in Montreal, the incredible Fantasia International Film Festival has always been a cornerstone of our collective creative lore giving us, year after year, a chance to discover amazing films for all around the world. We're extremely proud that they're screening Elon VS Mark during ''Les Fantastiques week-ends du cinéma québécois'' tonight at the Cinéma du Musée at 7:00PM. Hope to see some of you in the crowd tonight 🙏

Today is officially the studio's last day on Totally Spies 7. 🙉 Ivan Boivin, Eric Bofa Nfon and Hubert Lapointe had the chance to work with Monello Productions under director Stephane BERRY to supervise the amazing animation teams at DogHead Animation and Feitong Cartoon. A true example of artistic collaboration happening all over the globe. 💪 🇫🇷 🇮🇹 🇨🇳 🇨🇦 🤝 Congratulations and a huge thanks to every artists that helped make this ambitious reboot a success! 🏅 The show is now available on Gulli in France and soon on Cartoon Network in the US. 📺

We're thankful for all the people that reached out in the recent days. It was an amazing chance to connect with many artists (and we're still processing a lot of applications, we're doing our best to answer 😤 ) and to get to know the active community much better. As we've been quiet since the early days of the studio back in 2021, now feels like a good time to tell you a little about us so you get to know us too. We'll be posting exerts of our recent projects and in the coming weeks as we're updating our website. We are thankful for the outpour of applications we received in the last 2 days. We'll try to reply to as many people as we can in the coming week but being a small team ourselves, we'll prioritize candidates that are well suited for the roles we advertised. And lastly in this recruiting effort, we'll be looking for a cut-out rigging artist based in Toonboom Harmony for help on a VR project starting in September. Intermediate to senior level only. 🤙 ✨ We'll be looking at some Moho experiments as well in the near future, so experience in that software a big plus. Job offers are pouring, we are currently on the hunt for freelance cut-out animators to join us on a VR project that'll be taking place over the fall. Proficiency in Toon Boom Harmony mandatory. Big plus if you are comfortable with basic to intermediate level rigging as we'll be looking for help in that department as well. Off to another wonderful edition of the Annecy Festival. This year, the whole team takes a hiatus to replenish our creative energy levels and get a chance to catch up with what's going on in the industry worldwide.
