This week, Bond Brand Loyalty was present at The BIG Handshake (TBH) in Amsterdam, and we had the pleasure of having Rob Daniel on board for a very interesting panel discussion. The session was a deep 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖-𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲, focusing on what they need to hear and see to get their buy-in for loyalty program plans. We explored how to secure investment approval and the support needed to achieve departmental goals. Scott Lewis and I were amazed by the strong resonance and the number of questions we received on this topic, particularly around how those 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗖𝗙𝗢𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗠𝗢𝘀. Other great statements from these very intense two days that stuck with me, were: 👍 Bruna Mikan emphasized the importance of using data, especially loyalty data, to solve real customer problems. Truly understanding what your customers need is key. It's crucial to have detailed and accurate numbers because the future is uncertain. Build various assumption-based scenarios to anticipate potential outcomes. 👍 Penny Shaw stressed the importance of having a comprehensive view of the customer journey. Identify pain points and improve the experience—because if customers have a bad experience, a loyalty program alone cannot fix it. 👍 Janno de Kluijver highlighted the importance of going beyond data—get out there, listen, and talk to your customers. Data is just the beginning.
