Currently, Pelra is Managing Director at Québecor, where she leads AsterX, the venture capital arm she created, supporting startups from seed to post-startup stages. There, Pelra manages the group's entrepreneurial strategy in addition to investment activities and support for portfolio entrepreneurs - a role that fits her well. #ForTheLongRun

This morning, we are pleased to introduce Catherine Metrycki, Founder and CEO of Callia. At just 27 years old, Catherine built Callia, a direct-to-consumer e-commerce company that is revolutionizing floral gifting through a unique customer experience. As a sole female founder for over 5 years and “mom-preneur” — she defied expectations, proving that women can build a business while having a family. Recognizing the importance of both personal and professional growth, she made the bold decision to bring in a co-leader Jaclyn Bulbuck, taking a strategic risk that ultimately strengthened both Callia and her own journey as an entrepreneur. Catherine is a true inspiration, demonstrating that passion, ambition, and resilience can pave the way to success. #ForTheLongRun
