Last week, Consulate General of Canada in Chicago | Le Consulat général du Canada à Chicago partnered with World Business Chicago for the Future o Fintech Week. Our events were a great success, and I'm so proud of the Canadian companies that were able to participate and make a real splash here in Chicago: BuyProperly; Finhaven; Oxia Initiative; Sibli; Planworth: obsiido. These companies received significant attention from partners, clients and investors, and that's part of my job with the Trade Commissioner Service | Service des délégués commerciaux: to make these links. That's not the highlight for me, though. The highlight was one of the founders saying to me: 'I'm an immigrant to Canada. To be able to speak on behalf of my company, in Chicago, at an event organized by the Canadian government, in front of a Canadian flag. That was huge for me and my company'. What a pleasure it is to work with such people.
