We have the privilege of working with some incredible female colleagues at Calibre, and in our industry. So what an honour it is to share the news that our Diana Lacayo, Sustainability Superintendent at La Libertad Mine, has been selected as a Woman of Gold/ Mujer de Oro for 2024-2025. 🎉 The award, to be presented at PDAC 2025 by Women in Mining (WIM) Central America WIM Central America, celebrates outstanding contributions of Central American and Caribbean women to the mining industry. Diana certainly qualifies: in her current role with Calibre, she leads our regional efforts in the areas of environment, permits and community relations. ➡️Her list of achievements is long, but here is one that stands out recently: between 2022 and 2023, she spearheaded creation of a recycling program in the Chontales municipalities of La Libertad and Santo Domingo, involving more than 2,000 students, teachers and parents. ➡️In the last two years, 18 tons of discarded plastic and paper have been collected and recycled, thanks to Diana’s passion and dedication .🙌🌱 Congratulations on the award, Diana – well deserved! With Q3 at a close, we’re looking ahead to Q4 – and our strongest production results of the year are anticipated to finish off 2024. 📈 ➡️Consolidated Q4 production is expected to be 70,000–80,000 ounces, driven by Nicaragua’s Q4 mine plans, which indicate significantly higher ore tonnes mined than previous quarters. ➡️After increasing ore haulage to Libertad by 30% over Q3, to 3,000 tonnes per day, we also forecast a stockpile build of approximately 30,000 ounces, which will be processed in 2025. The 30,000-ounce stockpile positions us well for a strong close to the year and a solid start to 2025.
