To deliver on our commitment to diversity across our workforce, one of our key priorities is to hire and train women locally—including, recently, female truck operators at our Fekola site in Mali. https://bit.ly/3VGIYde As part of a concentrated effort to recruit women, our Fekola team worked hard to raise awareness in surrounding communities, encouraging women to apply for technical positions. Fast-forward to present day, and the Fekola mining department now employs more than 20 women, including these heavy mobile equipment (HME) operators, as well as dispatchers, blasting assistants, samplers, technicians, geologists and a mining engineer. To learn more about this initiative, and hear from some of the female HME operators on how they feel about their roles, click and read the article (link above). ⬆️ #B2Gold #TruckOperator #WomenInMining
