The Canadian Bar Association (CBA) is a professional organization that represents more than 36,000 lawyers, judges, notaries, law teachers, and law students from across Canada. The Saskatchewan Branch was formed in 1918 and currently has over 1300 members. We are an essential ally and advocate for our members, and provide opportunities for Professional Development, support the Rule of Law and Judiciary Independence. We are the voice of the legal profession.

  • The Canadian Bar Association, Saskatchewan Branch (CBA-SK), is excited to announce Mark Dolan as the incoming President for the 2024-2025 term, effective Sep 1, 2024. Mark is a seasoned legal professional with deep roots in Saskatchewan. He earned both his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Saskatchewan and currently serves as the Managing Partner Lakefield LLP, where he also chairs the firm’s Executive Committee. In his legal practice, Mark specializes in corporate commercial and agricultural law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, and secured lending. He regularly advises clients in the agribusiness and agricultural sectors, offering guidance on corporate restructuring, land transactions, joint ventures, partnerships, and succession planning. Mark is not only a dedicated professional but also an active volunteer who has held numerous board positions and frequently presents on key industry topics. As President of CBA-SK, he looks forward to leading the association in advancing the legal profession and supporting its members across the province, and we're so pleased to have him on board as President this year!
