Top 5 Things to Know About the CARM Cutover Period: 1. Cutover Timeline: The CARM cutover period started on Friday, October 4 at 4 PM ET and ends on October 21 at 3 AM ET. During this time, the CARM Client Portal (CCP) will be unavailable. 2. RM Program Account Availability: If a business needs an importer program account (RM) during the cutover period, they can still get one using the interim process until October 18, 12:00 pm ET. 3. Release Processing: Release processing will not be affected during the cutover period. 4. Paper C-Type B3 accounting documents will continue to be accepted and processed at Commercial Office of Release. Customs Commercial Entry Processing System (CCEPS) terminals and printers will remain available to create C-Type B3s. 5. No Late Penalties: The CBSA will not issue late accounting penalties, late payment penalties, or interest for 90 days following October 21, due to factors related to the cutover period.
