More importantly, thank you for the funding support to bring schools and youth organizations to The Hangar Flight Museum that are underprivileged, a program that gives fully paid field trips to learn about aviation history and our Veterans. We need to ensure our youngest generation understand what our Veterans did in service to give us our freedom. I talk to my daughters about our Veterans all the time, and not just on Remembrance Day. We should do that all year long. Looking forward to CTV Calgary televising our next Remembrance Day Service this year. My oldest daughter Gracie (13) will be giving her speech Youth Remembering Veterans. I can't wait as it is alway emotional. The August Three Sisters Camp was another success. Canadian Legacy Project is proud to partner with Can Praxis in presenting this free equine therapy program designed specifically for female Veterans with Operational Stress Injuries.

Canada has provided training, weapons, vehicles and ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine but failed to replace these stocks for the Canadian military. MCpl Hilman and MCpl Matchett, joined by members of the South Alberta Light Horse (SALH), recently completed the range portion of the Dual Remote Weapons System (DRWS) course during Ex Grizzly Defender in August in Wainwright. The range component involves a static shoot and a stabilization (STAB) run (shooting from a moving vehicle) engaging static targets. 2024 Veterans’ Week Poster Canadian Armed Forces around the world Generations of brave Canadians have served in uniform to help defend peace and freedom. Our military personnel perform many important duties here at home. They have also deployed to dozens of countries to take part in wars, conflicts, peacekeeping missions, humanitarian operations and other military efforts.

On Sept. 14, the first‑ever Calgary Army Run will take place at Poppy Plaza, with five‑kilometre and 10 km routes running along the Bow River pathways. The event, a satellite event of the Canada Army Run held in Ottawa, is led by 41 Canadian Brigade Group (41 CBG) in partnership with the Canada Army Run and the City of Calgary. https://lnkd.in/gKg_J_yn
