Teck outlines detailed strategy for copper growth This is strategy day at Teck Resources in Vancouver. The company is presenting its strategy for generating value for stakeholders and lay out its investment pathway to grow copper production to 800,000 tonnes (176.37 billion lb.) per year before the end of the decade.

Osisko Metals commences Pine Point feasibility study Osisko Metals has commenced its feasibility study for its Pine Point project. It expects the study to be completed in the second quarter of 2025. Osisko is in a joint venture, called Pine Point Mining (PPML), with Appian Capital Advisory for the advancement of the Pine Point project. The project is located near Hay River, Northwest Territories, which is in the south shore of the Great Slave Lake. The site is known historically for significant zinc and lead concentrates.

Komatsu’s newest excavator is optimized for efficient mining operations, as it features bucket sizes of 18 m³ to 24 m³ to ensure ideal matching for 90-tonne to 190-tonne class mining trucks.

The project is located on the NHCN resource management area, 107 km north of Grand Rapids and 450 km north of Winnipeg, Man., adjacent to Hwy 6.

Canada Nickel updates successful regional exploration program in Ontario As Canada Nickel Company moves the Crawford nickel project toward the start of production in 2027, the company continues its successful regional exploration program in northern Ontario. The regional program calls for over 100,000 metres of drilling on 14 properties, all located within 100 km of Timmins.

New Found Gold’s high grades continue New Found Gold announced the results from 10 diamond drill holes at the Queensway gold project 15 km west of Gander, Nfld., as it targets depth extensions along the Appleton Fault zone. It also released assays for eight holes testing near surfaced targets adjacent to Alley and Keats South. The assays, as expected, continue to indicate long and strong intersections.
