Goldstorm discovers high-grade zone at Electrum in heart of BC’s Golden Triangle Goldstorm Metals has discovered a high-grade zone at its Electrum property. The discovery was part of the company’s 2024 diamond drill exploration program on its electrum-gold-silver property within the Golden Triangle region of British Columbia. Goldstorm Metals is a precious and base metals exploration company with a large land position in the Golden Triangle of British Columbia, an area that hosts some of the largest and highest-grade gold deposits in the world.

The honour, which will be awarded at the International Metals Symposium in London Dec. 1-2, is co-presented by professional services firm EY.

Kenorland drills 137 g/t gold at Frotet in Quebec Kenorland Minerals Ltd. has announced results from the 2024 summer exploration program at the Frotet gold project located in northern Quebec. Assays from the six drill holes – totaling 3,266 metres of drilling completed during the program – have been reported. Kenorland currently holds a 4% net smelter return royalty and is the project operator.

Power Metals engages First Nation-run drilling company for Case Lake project Power Metals has engaged First Nation-owned Black Diamond Drilling to complete its 2024 phase III drill program at the company’s Case Lake project in northeastern Ontario. Power Metals is a Canadian mining company with a long record of exploring and developing cesium, lithium, and tantalum assets in Canada, with a focus on expanding cesium in the global marketplace. Black Diamond Drilling is owned and operated by the Apitipi Anicinapek Nation (formerly known as Wahgoshig First Nation) in northeastern Ontario. The community is located near Matheson, Ontario. Black Diamond Drilling is operated by a drilling team focusing on exploration projects in the Abitibi Greenstone belt.

Major Drilling acquires leading South American specialty contractor Major Drilling has acquired Explomin Perforaciones, a leading specialty drilling contractor based in Lima, Peru. Explomin is one of the largest South American drilling contractors. Most of Explomin’s operations are in Peru while also servicing markets in Colombia, Dominican Republic, and Spain.

Teck outlines detailed strategy for copper growth This is strategy day at Teck Resources in Vancouver. The company is presenting its strategy for generating value for stakeholders and lay out its investment pathway to grow copper production to 800,000 tonnes (176.37 billion lb.) per year before the end of the decade.

Osisko Metals commences Pine Point feasibility study Osisko Metals has commenced its feasibility study for its Pine Point project. It expects the study to be completed in the second quarter of 2025. Osisko is in a joint venture, called Pine Point Mining (PPML), with Appian Capital Advisory for the advancement of the Pine Point project. The project is located near Hay River, Northwest Territories, which is in the south shore of the Great Slave Lake. The site is known historically for significant zinc and lead concentrates.
